Three checks before sharing a DAU report
A short quality routine for identity, freshness and context before the report reaches decision-makers.
First, confirm data freshness. A partially loaded day can look like a sudden decline. Label the latest complete reporting period and make delays visible.
Second, check identity handling. Logged-in and anonymous activity can duplicate a person when stitching rules are unclear. Monitor the effect of identity changes over time.
Third, add context. Releases, campaigns and incidents should sit beside the chart. A trustworthy report makes uncertainty visible and gives readers enough detail to ask the next useful question.
